Wildcat Bluff Nature Center

This nature center has over 640 acres and over 5 miles of trails.  Some of the paths are paved some aren't.  They also have a dig pit and learn about the prehistoric Panhandle.  They have education courses available as well.  It's perfect for a day of hiking and learning.

Hobo Hills/9th Street Trails

Hobo Hills is a place in Amarillo that is located north of Medi-Park across 9th Street.  It is a system of trails that the people of Amarillo have been using for hiking as well as biking for years.  Back in 2021, Six Pack Outdoors took over the area, cleaned it up, added more trails and they maintain the area.

There is nothing more natural than a garden of beautiful plants and flowers and trees.  The Amarillo Botanical Gardens perk up once spring gets here.  You'll want to visit multiple times as the seasons change.   They also have fun events throughout the year including their Christmas in the Gardens.  If you want a nature wedding this might be the perfect spot.

This is an absolute given if you want to get out into nature.  You can hike the trails, drive through the canyon, have a picnic with your family, take a horseback ride and so much more.  You never know what kind of wildlife you will see, the wild turkeys do like to roam.
