This seems so like a 2021 problem but apparently the shortage of workers here in Amarillo is going to follow us into 2022. So much that it is going to force us to have one less place to eat at on Sundays.

To me Sunday was quite the day to go out to eat. I mean when I waited tables we were ready for the church crowd. Maybe that is not a thing so much anymore. I mean it has been years since i counted on them. So, the idea that a restaurant would choose to be closed on a Sunday surprises me. Again, it has been years so maybe that is not the day to go out anymore as a family. What do I know?

I saw this announcement on Facebook over the weekend and thought "how sad." This came directly from the La Fiesta Facebook page:

New Business Hours!!! It was not a decision we took lightly but have decided to close Sundays to give our amazing staff quality resting time with their families! We will continue to offer Brunch on Saturday’s 10am-2pm. So check out our new Hours! We appreciate your support and thank you for respecting our decision to close Sunday!
So here are La Fiesta Grande's new hours:
Monday-Thursday 11am-9pm
Friday 11am-10pm
Saturday 10am-10pm
Closed Sunday
I get it. Their staff needs a day of rest. I hate this because that is one less day to get their fantastic food. Just like Chick-fil-A, Blue Sky and now La Fiesta Grande I promise you that I will crave them the most on Sunday's. Yes, I will. Just like today.
We shall all mourn together.
