I had a revelation last night as I was indulging in a snack. Why don't the foods we loved as kids taste the same? What have they done to our favorite foods?
There many treats we get to enjoy in the South that most have either never heard of or have never tried. The crew with It's A Southern Thing on Youtube brought in a friend from Scotland to try various Southern favorites.
We might have consumed five thousand calories yesterday (mostly in chips), and before we succumb to the pressure of polishing off the last bits, there could be a better way that beats eating them straight out of the bag.
I feel like most of my college days was spent choosing a meal out of a vending machine. Now when I say meal, I really mean like chili cheese Fritos or ranch flavored Fritos. Those were my go to back then.
