Borger Gets Beautified With New Amazing Mural
One of the greatest things a city can do, no matter big or small, is making an effort to beautify the city.
Over the last 5 or 6 years, a movement has started happening in the Texas Panhandle and that is to bring art to the masses with big beautiful murals to the cities.
Borger has recently added a mural to their city that screams BORGER! It's a perfect depiction of the city. It is similar to the Amarillo mural, located at 1200 S. Taylor.
The Borger mural is located on the side of the Antelope Creek Leather building, 227 N Harvey St. The mural includes some of Borger's landmarks like The Dome, Morely Theater, the Carbon Black Plant, 6666 Ranch, local sports teams, and more!
The artist of the amazing mural is Joey Martinez. He is responsible for the Amarillo mural, as well as the Amarillo mural in the airport. The Shamrock mural, and painted the Lubbock mural and several other murals in Lubbock. Back in 2021, there was a push for a Canyon mural. He is a very talented artist, who has brightened the city with his amazing art.
This was just one of the amazing projects of Project Build Borger. It's time to visit Borger if you haven't been in a while. They always have fun events and other activities to enjoy. Don't miss out on the Borger Community Wide Garage Sale, on March 25th or even the great wrestling events in The Dome.
