Hereford, Texas is the beef capital of the world, or so the sign driving into town says.  It's true, that you'll find more cows in Hereford than people, but that doesn't mean it isn't a thriving town.  The town has grown immensely over the years.

The city is home to 14,972 give or take since the 2020 census.   Over the last 20 years Hereford has grown, they built a new hospital, a new county jail, a new community center, and finally got its own Walmart.

What about restaurants?

Hereford has always had a great selection of fast-food restaurants. The west part of Highway 60 was the place to go; it was fast food row in Hereford. That stretch was home to Pizza Hut, Long John Silver's, Taco Villa, and McDonald's. In other areas of the city, there was a Dairy Queen, Sonic, and KFC (now on Hwy 60). Over time, Taco Villa and Long John Silver's closed. However, McDonald's remained and has been remodeled several times since it was originally opened in Hereford over 40 years ago.

Is Hereford Big Enough for 2 of the Same Restaurants?

Hereford had two of the same restaurants back in the 80s/90s when there was a Mr. Burger East, and a Mr. Burger West (West is still open).  Neither was on fast food row, they were on Park Ave.  Now they have two Subway restaurants.  I guess the town is big enough for two of the same restaurants.

Hereford is full of new businesses and fast-food restaurants.   Over the years, they gained multiple fast food restaurants, including Carl's Jr., Little Caeser's, Domino's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, and Burger King.  They now have two chain coffee shops, Starbucks and Scooters.  Plus, some great tea from HTeaO.   They will soon have a Golden Chicken and Chicken Express.

Look out here comes the McDouble

Plus they will have another McDonald's.  According to the licensing department, Hereford is getting another McDonald's.  This location, as documented by the licensing department, is 608 N. 25 Mile Ave.
