Unveiling The Secrets: Another Amarillo Cursed Building, 2615 Paramount Blvd
If you have lived in Amarillo for any amount of time, you will notice a few buildings that have had multiple tenants.
If you're familiar with the cursed building series, you know what I mean by cursed buildings. For those that are new, let me preface this, when we say cursed, it doesn't mean haunted or evil spirits, it just means this particular building or area has just had many businesses open and close.
However, with this one, it is possible that it could be haunted just because of the businesses in the building. The building was once a funeral home.
The building at 2615 Paramount Blvd was built in 1974, and in the last 20 years, it has been home to multiple different businesses. Most of them have been churches, although short-lived in this building.
Pre-2008
This building was once home to NS Griggs and Sons Funeral Home. Many past Amarilloians were taken care of here once they passed from this earth.
2008 - 2016 Kingdom Keys Church
After the funeral home closed, the Kindom Keys Church bought and moved into the building. It seems fitting that a church would use the building since there was already a chapel and several rooms.
2016 - 2019 - Accelerate Church
Once Kindom Keys Church moved out of the building Accerlate Church moved into the property. Again, after it was converted to a church, it makes sense that another church would move into the building. The last service Accelerate Church had in the building was on June 12, 2019. They are currently located at 4400 Crockett
May 2023 - Potter's House Christian Fellowship Church
The building was purchased by another church. Potter's House hosted its first service on October 21, 2023, the delay was due to all the flooding that occurred during the rains of June 2023. Potter's House is a part of over 3000+ churches across the world. They are still currently occupying the building today.
If you're curious as to what the building looks like on the inside, you can visit the current church or check out this video:
